Your chances of being cheated in his place is somewhat less as he is selling locally and you can demand a refund, if any problem occurs later.

Check out the engine, the electrical system, the tires, the braking system, and the model. If engine shows any problem or the tires are worn out or car shows any problem whether it’s small or big, think twice before buying it. It will cost you a lot more money in repairing. If you think that the vehicle’s credentials like maintenance records, don’t match with what you see, then better avoid that car. It is possible that the owner is trying to cheat you.

When you buy a used car, go for a certified used car. Used cars are certified by the manufacture. These certified cars are better in condition and you get guaranty of performance. This is a better option for you.
